Luncheon FAQs

How much does the Mother to Mother Luncheon cost?

There is no charge to attend.

Who may attend the luncheon?

The Autism Mother to Mother Luncheon is for moms, grandmothers, and female primary caregivers of children/adults impacted by autism.

Can you tell me more about how it will work this year with four different sites?

The speaker, Jessica Hurlbut, will be in-person at the Chambersburg site. The program, including Jessica’s talk, will be simulcast to the Harrisburg, Lebanon, and Stroudsburg locations. The meal and blessing of the hands will be done at each location independently.

Will there be childcare available at all four locations?

Childcare will be available at the Chambersburg and Harrisburg location only.

Are there assigned seats?

Seats are not assigned. During registration, each guest will select a bag in one of several colors. At the Chambersburg location (and potentially other sites), dismissal from the sanctuary to the dining room for table selection will be determined by randomly drawing these bag colors. The first color drawn will be dismissed first, followed by the remaining colors in random order.

Please do not save seats in the dining room. If you would like to sit with someone, we encourage you to choose the same color gift bag so you are dismissed at the same time.

What should I wear?

There is no “dress code” for the event. Some moms like to dress up and some like to come in more casual clothes! It is all up to you!

What if I have dietary restrictions?

Please contact the following site coordinators and they will work with you to be sure your needs are met:

Chambersburg please contact Elyse Fisler (see the contact page)

Harrisburg please contact Caron Drummond at [email protected].

Lebanon please contact Amy Worcester at [email protected].

Why are the doors opening at 8:00 am at some of the locations if the luncheon does not start until 10:30 am?

This year Chambersburg, Harrisburg and Lebanon locations are making a resource fair available to all the moms. Local autism service providers from the area will be providing information about their services and available resources. The doors will open at 8:00 am so that you may spend time visiting the participants’ tables and learning about what area resources are available for your child/adult and family. There will also be prizes for the moms. This additional time will also allow the moms to view the prizes and participate in trying to win one of the gifts.

Who can I contact for more information?

For the Chambersburg site, please see the contact page.

For the Harrisburg site, please contact Caron Drummond at [email protected]

For the Lebanon site, please contact Amy Worcester at [email protected]

For the Stroudsburg site, please contact Sarah Bush at [email protected]

Can you tell me more about the Harpist playing from 9:15am-10:15am?

We are honored to offer a special and meaningful time prior to the start of this year’s luncheon with an award-winning harpist, Lauren Swain. Lauren will perform live in the sanctuary at the Chambersburg location from 9:15–10:15 a.m., with her music simulcast to all other site locations.

This hour is intentionally set aside as a gift to our luncheon attendees—a quiet space for rest, renewal, reflection, and unhurried “me-time.” Moms are invited to simply sit, breathe, and enjoy the beauty of the music, allowing it to minister to their hearts in whatever way you need most.

This performance is offered in loving memory of Gavin Cook, Elyse’s son, who unexpectedly passed away in December 2025. Gavin had a deep love for music and musical instruments, including the harp, making this tribute especially fitting. This meaningful time has been made possible through a generous donation.
